Made of recycled nylon with a durable water repellent (DWR) to shed moisture, the girls' Patagonia Torrentshell jacket is a fully taped, 2.5-layer waterproof, breathable shell built for the rain.

- REI

To handle inclement weather, our Girls' Torrentshell Jacket provides shelter in the storm with fully taped, tough, 2.5-layer H2No(R) Performance Standard nylon ripstop fabric that has a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish for reliable protection from rain and wind. To keep heads dry and water off the eyes, there's a stay-put, multipanel hood with an elasticized gusset under the brim and a built-in visor. Additional moisture-resisting details include a chin flap, a full-length water-resistant coated zipper with internal storm flap, elasticized waist and cuffs with hook-and-loop closure. To hold valuables, there's two zippered side pockets (with reflective webbing pulls) and a snapped left-chest pocket. Raglan sleeves provide mobility; longer hem length with slight drop tail for additional coverage. Hand-me-down ID label.

Being an 11 year old girl is tough enough on its own--which is why we (and your parents) understand that you really don't need the added insult of showing up to the first day of school completely soaked from head to toe. To prevent "The Worst Day Ever" from happening, the folks over at Patagonia crafted up the Girl's Torrentshell Jacket. Built with a rugged, waterproof, and stylish H2No nylon fabric, this full-zip jacket is equipped with a three-panel hood that comes complete with an elastic adjuster while the drop tail, drawcord hem and hook-and-loop cuffs ensure no sneaky winds or precipitation can weasel their way through to your "First Day of School" outfit.
