This has saved the day for me many times while cycling and working in cold conditions. It keeps your head, ears, nose and face warm so you can focus on the task at hand.

Definitely not waterproof, but for heavy physical activities like work or exercise if there is good air flow over your head like cycling you will stay warm and your sweat will wick away. If you have sinus conditions the material around the mouth and nose may cause problems. It did for me in the Seirus Ultra Clava. I have washed it since that incident and I will have to see how the fleece works out after that.

Usually I will cut this area out to get good transfer of air flow. If you are using this clava breathing with no air flow across the mouth and nose area to wick away moisture caught in the material it will become saturated and irritate your skin. This can be resolved by cutting an area out for good air transfer. I would suggest starting small and working it out bigger till you are satisfied.

I know it doesn’t make sense to spend this much money then cut on it, but you don’t have too much of choice if it gets to saturated or too much bacteria/viruses it causes skin irritation or sickness. I would suggest having 91% rubbing alcohol with you to saturate the nose and mouth area after use to kill bacteria/viruses. This will also help with wear and tear from to much washing.

I suggest testing all sizes. I have a large head but it works out better for me to use the Medium size clavas from Seirrus. I noticed the larger ones the nose and face area fall off. It is a more comfortable fit in the larger size but it does not serve the purpose which is to keep my face warm once I start moving around and talking.

If you attempt to wear sunglasses they will fog unless you cut out the mouth area for air transfer. I am able to were sunglasses when I am cycling  due to good air flow. Best worn with sealed goggles.

I do believe this is a great product and I will purchase again.
