Insole or footbed.

Pros

  • Durable
  • Custom fit

Cons

  • Heavy

I have a lot of insoles as a result of having an unusual shoe size. When I need to take up some room in a shoe I choose either a Sole moldable footbed, Green Superfeet, or Archmold moldable footbed.

The beauty of the moldable ones is that they fit better than the ones you cannot mold, so they wind up sometimes more comfortable than unmoldable. The downside is that they are heavier than Superfeet (which are usually light in weight) and take some time to adapt to your feet (even if you cook/heat them IMHO).

All of the companies have different models with different degrees of cushion. Usually Superfeet would go in a running shoe as they are so light.

Background

Been replacing footbeds for over 20 years in all my shoes and ski boots.

Source: bought it new
Price Paid: Cannot remember, probably 20 dollars.
