Meindl Nordic 3-Pin Backcountry Leather Ski Boots
Telemarking is not dead and neither are these boots. Incredible value for money, these boots have lasted me over 30 years. Not much of my gear has done as well as these boots. But after 30 years I am ready for an upgrade. I bought these beautiful Meindl duckbill 3-pin or 75mm boots in the 1980s. They cost a lot of money back then. Pulled them out again this year for a short cross-country / back-country adventure and they still impressed. I never dreamed that they would last 30 (+) years, but they… Full review

Garmont Voodoo
Love this boot for lift skiing on and off piste. I do 50% alpine and 50% telemark. I crank it tight when doing the tele and then loosen off the buckles for the alpine. Voodoo is stiff in all the right places. It handles a big ski (191 Faction 13). Only downside might be that it loosens up a bit as the day goes on. have to keep tightening up a notch. I love the fact that the clips lock in place when you loosen the buckles going up the lift. Love 'em! Great boot, did have it punched out where ankle… Full review

Scarpa Terminator X
Have had to replace the boot twice as the bellows cracked within one season of skiing. Would avoid this boot for that reason. Comfortable, relatively soft NTN boot. Used for backcountry, resort skiing, and teleboard work. Fine except both bellows cracked within one season. Scarpa graciously replaced the boots, but the second pair also cracked in one season. I am not a burly skier (165 lbs) and have never before had a bellows fail. Would not recommend. Full review

Scott Voodoo
Great looking boot, but the toe buckle went on day 2 after purchasing. Great looking boot, and it seemed that the stiffness is a great advantage, but I blew the toe buckle wires off in the first two days on the hill. Had to improvise with bent lengths of coat hanger. It seems that the buckle is not built for the strain put on the bellow area. The wires off of both feet were sacrifices to Ullr. Full review

Scarpa T2 Eco
Good telemark boot which offers loads of comfort and good insulation. The stability is good, but I wish it was a bit stiffer. Walking function "switch" broke the first time I used them. Very ergonomic fit! This boot offers good comfort and very good insulation. It's a very comfortable choice both for on- and off-piste skiing. It has a walk function which allows you to move much easier over un-ski-able terrain. The quality seems good, but the switch for the walking mode broke on my first run. The… Full review
