Best hiking sandal ever. Had several pairs over the years. Comfortable with brilliant cushioning. Good tread grip, and also under the foot—feet don’t slip even going down steep hills or when wet. Vent in rear of sole so water can drain when crossing streams. Every pair lasted 2,000 km trek on all terrain.

Pros

Non-slip underfoot but foot can still air easily
Drainage vent on rear of sole
Durable—lasts 1000-2000km trek

Cons

Only with one pair did the plastic buckle or webbing holding the buckle rip/break at 960km. Was able to finish last 50kms with string I tied on. On return home, shop exchanged them for a new pair and returned them to manufacturer.

Background

Hiking, trekking—so liked them I threw my hiking boots away. I prefer my feet and toes to be free to wiggle and air.

My husband and I both bought a pair of these two years ago. We love them. But, on the exact same day, the soles on both pairs of our sandals peeled off.

Very disappointing for Tevas. We're going to try to glue them back on because we enjoy these sandals so much but hope Teva improves this design flaw.
