Version reviewed: Flannel Bag #15225

As stated, 5 *'s and don't leave home without it! It's great, comfortable, and very sturdy! I had actually considered a cheaper one from Coleman but most sleeping bags are not made of canvas! This brand is, which means it is strong and will last a very long time! Because of the canvas it is also easy to clean if you spill something on it and it is machine washable! It has double layer construction, a canvas shell (this is where the heavy weight comes into play), dual zippers, flannel liner and is stuffed with Insulblok hollow fiber insulation. Being an oversized bag is great because it allows for plenty of room if you like to stretch out while sleeping.

The only things I do not like are specifically the color! It is almost a military canvas light greenish/brown color and so is the carrying case which is also made of canvas, hence the high weight. The weight is a lot for a sleeping bag if you plan on hiking, but for "drive to the camp site" camping it is not a big deal!

The Big Bend sleeping bag is a brand new product from Texsport and most retailers do not carry it yet.
