The North Face High Angle Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars

The High Angle Jacket has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best waterproof jackets for 2024.

Unlike most buyers I actually use my High Angle Jacket only for Search and Rescue. I use it in the rainy forests of Oregon and I'll tell you 3-layer Gore-Tex is the best. One of the coolest features is the radio holder, complete with antena flap. It will fit any full size Motarola, Icom or whatever, just not the old long GEs. It is on the heavy side but the reinforcement is in the right places and it still dries out very fast. Pockets are huge and accesable even with a pack on. Very good if you can afford it, especialy for its intended use. Sorry about the spelling.

Fabric: 3-layer Gore Tex

Very durable and good looking jacket. Reinforced by cordura and then kevlar on critical area. Two interior water holder pocket, two exterior pocket, and a pocket for CB phone with antenna out. There are also two ice ax holders. The most expensive and best jacket made by TNF. Suppost to be a search and rescue jacket. The only disadvantages are the weight. But considering the kind of material put on to it, it is worth it.

Fabric: 3-plys Gore-tex

Hie veryone,
this is the best jacket I have ever bought. Keeps me warm as hell. I also have the 1996 Steeptech with the pouch Color aztec blue..very hard to find...anyway...

The only sucky part about the jacket is that there are no pockets for your hands...overall the greatest ....what do you think email me at
