The North Face Lunarfire

rated 4.0 of 5 stars

The Lunarfire has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best three-season tents for 2024.

This tent is great! Extremely easy to set up with their trade mark Quick Pitch System. This consists of 7-8 rings which, when the tent is collapsed, snap together on a grommet. To pitch the tent, all you have to do is put the end of the pole through the grommet and slide the rings along the pole. If it takes you more than 5 minutes to set up, you shouldn't be camping!

The only complaint I have about the tent is that unless you put the fly on PERFECTLY, the tent ceiling directly in the middle touches the rain fly and condensation/rain accumulates in that spot. The tent doesn't leak unless you touch the fabric, but one good thing, it does not continue to do so unless you touch it again.

An excellent tent. It packs extremely small and weighs hardly nothing. Holds up pretty good in higher winds.

The tent remains bone-dry during rain, dew and prespiration. Price is a little steep in Canada.

It sleeps two with lots of room left over. Sleeps one with room left over for gear etc. I'm 6'4" and I fit perfectly in it lengthwise.

Only one downfall, No stormflap for door! Thus, you must rely on vestibule during rain etc.

As well, the colour blue, yikws..the blackflies up here just love that colour...
