Sport Balance Pockets

rated 4 of 5 stars Designed to be used as part of an Aarn Bodypack these versatile front bags have proven to work pretty well with other backpacks too. The balancing benefits of carrying a small amount of weight in the front are quite noticeable, especially with heavier loads in back. Easy access to water bottles, snacks, camera gear, and other items you need to use often on trail are a great fringe benefit. Effortless Rhythm

rated 1 of 5 stars Too many features that can go wrong and unreliable product manufacturing. On only my second trip with this pack a number of the poles of the internal frame simply shot out of the pack making it almost unwearable. This is a safety hazard and happened due to a manufacturing fault. One of the most basic functions a pack needs to perform is to provide a stable storage unit for gear on your back.  This pack failed to do that. Based on my experience, I will not buy an Aarn pack again. At Christmas time I purchased two traditional model packs in preparation for an April 11 New Zealand Milford Track tramp(a quaint kiwi term for hiking) for my wife and… Full review

Sport Balance Pockets

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Yes I start by now this summer 2011 on my second year with balance pockets. They are great, I am perfect balanced and seldom get tired. These pockets remind me of British soldiers gear during second world war.   Ole Due Jakobsen Walking the camino in France and Spain Full review

Marathon Magic 20L

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This is an older version of the current, 22l model.I borrowed one off a friend for an intense, 2-day backpack over a series of peaks in the Western Highlands of Scotland. Day 1 was especially intense; 21 miles and 11,000 feet of ascent, mostly on trackless, rough ground! The Aarn pack was a revelation, a real leap forward from 'standard' lightweight backpacks. The straps work superbly together, distributing weight over a wider area. The X shaped chest strap feels far more natural than a single chest… Full review
