Summary

Extremely lightweight slim sport wallet. The latest in RFID protection for your credit cards.

Pros

  • Very slim small package
  • Lightweight
  • RFID protection

If you are an ounce counter like I am and are also looking for the latest in RFID protection for your credit card information than this wallet is for you. Allett's RFID Slim Sport wallet is perfect for not only the trail but everyday use.

With a Nappa leather exterior and an interior of thin nylon, the wallet can hold up to 10 credit cards in its opposing pockets. The money slot is compatible with American, Canadian, European, and a host of other currencies. With dimensions of 3.25 x 3.75 inches and 1/4 inches empty, this is one small wallet.

After loading mine with 7 credit cards and 12 bills, my wallet is just 1/2 inch thick and weighs a scant 2.5 ounces. Compared to my old wallet which was a fat 1.25 inches thick and 3.75 ounces with the same cards and bills. This wallet is so thin I rarely even feel it in my pocket and not sitting on my old fat wallet has done my lower back a world of good.

As credit cards with RFID chips have become the standard lately it is important to be able to protect those cards from identity thieves. Allett uses a multi-metalized liner that blocks RFID signals up to 3000MHz. Their tightly woven nickel and copper liner offers total security against RFID signals at all times. This is the same technology used by our military.

Real world testing of the RFID blocking was done at my local ski area where most of the lifts are fitted with RFID readers for ski ticket tallies. Putting the wallet right next to my ski ticket I went through turnstiles time after time with no problems. Pulling out a chip credit card and putting that next to my ticket immediately brought out the dreaded red light and no access.

Allett wallets are made in San Diego and come with a 3-year warranty and if ordered from their website shipping is always free. Anyone looking to shave off some weight and size in their wallet while increasing their credit card security should look into the Allett RFID Slim Sport wallet.
