Stryker 100 Isobutane Stove

rated 4 of 5 stars This is a quality product at a budget price. It has a built-in starter and weight wise it is light and user friendly. Setup is easy and with the built-in lighter it fires right up. Flame control is pretty good, but simmering is not the greatest. Its strength is heating water, if you purchase the simmer plate it gives you more control over just using the flame.  The stove is pretty good in the wind and boil time for 1 or 2 cups of water is about 2.5 minutes with excellent fuel efficiency.  Darn,… Full review

Everest 2-Burner Camp Stove

rated 5 of 5 stars Great stove, excellent build quality. Nice even heating. Great car camping stove. I purchased this stove to replace an older Coleman model that I had, and I have to say I am glad I did. This stove is perfect for car camping, in fact I even purchased an extension hose and use it on the side of my Coleman Pop Up camper as an external stove. It works amazing! The burners light instantly, they provide nice even heat, and they are adjustable from a slow simmer all the way up to 'instant charcoal'. This… Full review

Ranger Two-Burner Stove

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This is an excellent car glamping stove for the chef. I've used this stove for three seasons now and am well pleased with its performance. I bought it so I could cook outside my Scamp travel trailer and now almost exclusively cook outside using this stove.   I found the two burners to provide ample heat for cooking on a griddle or on separate skillets. The burn controls provide burner control for a simmer or a quick boil. However, like all open burner stoves, it is subject to wind. One nice feature… Full review

Stryker 100 Isobutane Stove

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a lower cost alternative to the JetBoil stove. It has the same setup, good efficiency, and saves you enough money to buy a bunch of fuel canisters. I kept on bouncing back and forth between buying a JetBoil or an MSR Windburner. I had finally decided to pick up the MSR when this stove showed up in a Google search. I spent some time researching it and couldn't find any negative comments. Mostly positive, and about $40 cheaper, so I figured I'd roll the dice. I'm glad I did. I'm sure I would… Full review

Pie Irons

rated 4 of 5 stars Works surprisingly well. When I was a kid, there were a couple of these things at a cabin my family had.  I wasn’t ever allowed to use them, so of course they fascinated me. I bought one at REI a short time ago and used it while car camping (it would be too heavy to carry) to make grilled cheese sandwiches over a campfire. It worked really well. The instructions said to butter the bread before putting it into the iron. Instead, I heated the iron over the coals and then used a stick of butter… Full review
