Dana Design Humbug Spire

rated 4.5 of 5 stars

Dana Design is no longer in business, and the Humbug Spire has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best overnight packs for 2024.

Great Pack! I use it for everything from peak assaults to carrying my laptop to work. I bought a large Dana pack and loved it so much when I needed a day pack, I stayed with Dana.

The reason I bought the Humbug was that I needed a day pack that could carry whatever I needed in comfort and could be stuffed easily into my backpack. It has lots of support but no aluminum or carbon fiber stays so I can fold it in half if needed. It has a shove-it that allows me to carry any thing. Compression straps keep the internal and external loads from shifting. It has loops for ice axes.

The best thing is that it is extremely comfortable.

This is the first day pack I have pruchased, and so far, I am very pleased. The pack is very durable and it can tame the lumpiest loads just like the tag says. I reccomend this pack to anyone for school or for a short day hike.
