With wide waists and light weight, Chugach skis unite downhill and uphill performance for big-mountain skiers who seek out soft snow by human-powered means.

Burly lines and steep powder are the soul of the Chugach Range in Alaska. From charging AK pow to alpine boilerplate the Chugach is the new guard for Dynafit. Dynafit has blown the minds of the ski industry with the new Chugach. Powder Magazine has awarded the Chugach the skier's choice award as the BEST all mountain ski for 2016, beating the competition from all categories; backcountry and alpine. The Chugach incorporates a double elliptical rocker, which means that it has a rockered tip, a neutral center (no camber) and a rockered tail. This construction gives the rider the ability to gain more control the harder they lay the ski on edge and it provides a playful and surfy feel over the center of the ski. A 22-26* meter turn radius makes for sweeping big mountain turns and the rocker profile creates maximum edge contact. At 107-109mm* underfoot and with a built in dual rocker, the Chugach floats and surfs in a playful yet commanding manner. Incorporating a full side wall construction, the Chugach has prominent torsional rigidity. The Chugach may be one of the most versatile skis we've been on in recent years for packing plenty of punch for a variety of conditions while still keeping an eye on weight. It has a more playful personality than many dedicated hard chargers making it fun all over the mountain. Dynafit uses an ash-poplar mix for the core. This mix adds the rigidity of ash while saving weight with poplar. The wood core is sandwiched on the top and bottom with a biaxial fiberglass laminate and then is reinforced with carbon stringers. Finishing off this perfect creation, a full sidewall construction adds the perfect amount of torsional stiffness. *Depending on length
