Ferrino H.L. Micro
This has to be the lightest, smallest sleeping bag that you can buy and use for serious hiking/camping/mountaineering. It stuffs down to the size of a football, weighs less than 2 lbs. and dries in a flash. Obviously, there is a compromise: this bag simply will not keep you warm enough to sleep below about 32 f., and anywhere around freezing you really should use it with some form of bivy sack or other supplemental bag. However, it does open the door for some really minimalist hiking possibilities (e.g., multi-day trips with a "day pack"). Well designed and constructed, although its lightweight materials might lessen durability.

Used on last 1500 miles of AT, wish had from start. Easy to stuff into about 6"x9" ball! In colder weather layered with fleece top/bottom/cap which I also used for other purposes. In warm weather used $3 bug head net I kept in inner storage pocket of bag...no bites, didn't need tent. Worked good when got wet one night, and dried quick in sun. Wicks well on warm humid nights, doesn't hold odors, and can gentle launder. Oh yes!
If can't get Ferrino brand, do get bag with thermolite extreme from quality manufacturer (avoid seam unravel, fill travel from bad baffle design, etc).

Very good summer bag for the last 10 years.
Pros

Fits my 5'9" 200 lbs frame with room to spare. Have slept down in the 40s in shorts and a tee shirt without being cold. Wt 1lb 8 oz, packs down smaller than a football, had 10 years with no quality issues.
