Excellent soft rubber grip for any conditions, snow,ice wet rubber roofing ... have never got feet wet or cold in these. I've had to stand in water (about 3.5") doing hvac service work and amazingly enough, not the slightest bit wet.
These are a year old to boot, and only 5" high. They are very light and tend to make you want to throw them on. Very comfortable from day one. The base is nice and wide for stability with a contoured instep.
The only drawback I found was the eyelets were so small, it was difficult to get laces thin enough to go through them. Wish I could find another pair!!!

Use: I use them for work and everywhere else I go.
