Excellent made in USA value. IF you can find one [Discontinued] it will not cost an arm and a leg.
- Inexpensive and well made in USA.
- HEATS UP QUICK!
- A little heavy
Bag has no cold spots and seems to be reasonably rated. But I never trust any lowest rating, from any brand. Just my personal safety rule.
I tested this bag down to low teens and had no problems. Tried it in upper 30s and had to zip it all the way down. Wearing only t shirt and undies.
I paid $27 for my bag.Take that N F and all you other China sell outs!! Zippers are plastic of course. Most these days are.
TIP, take some white vaseline and coat all your zippers. They will function much better. If you have metal zippers will also prevent rust.
Talk about an excellent value. I cannot understand…
Price Paid: Les than $100
Talk about an excellent value. I cannot understand why some one will pay $400 for a North Face bag that is made in China when you have a truly excellent American made bag that performs better than it is rated. Costs far less. And uses 1st rate materials.
As far as the review above, it sounds to me like someone damaged their frame not knowing what they were doing and just blamed the bag.
BUY THIS BAG. OR ONE OF THE OTHER NEBO BAGS. You will not regret it.
Update: April 8, 2011
Nebo bags are an outstanding value. The Teton is rated at minus 10 degrees, and so far i have not had a chance to put it to extreme use. However i have used down to below freezing.
Plenty of room and the bag heats up quickly. Zippers work nicely. And I agree with above reviewer, why pay hundreds for a made in China N F, when you have a great American product to buy. Most of the other big name brands are also made in China.
Save your money, support American industry and jobs. And get great value at the same time.
For the weight of this pack, I was not impressed with…
Fill: synthetic featherloft
Temperature Rating: -10F
Weight: 6lbs, 4oz
Price Paid: $80
For the weight of this pack, I was not impressed with its warmth. It doesn't compress all that tightly, and therefore doesn't fit in the bag-pockets of many frame packs. Because of the weight, this pack ended up damaging my frame pack on an early backcountry trip. Would not recommend.
