Pacerpole 3-Section Carbon
A comfortable and helpful walking stick.
Pros
- The hands rest on the pole, rather than holding it.
Cons
- It does not fold enough for travel.
I've only used the carbon-fiber version, not the alloy, but the core message remains: these are really good trekking poles.
Advantage is comfort. The hand rests on the poles rather than being suspended from the straps. The result is that the user has a better sense of the terrain than that given by a conventional pole.
The poles offer carbide tips for ice; I've not used them. The basic rubber tips seem adequate for any urban setting.
Background
Used only ski poles before, pretty useless for walking imho.
