Fluid, agile and surfy. The Solomon QST 106 takes the power forward construction of the QST 99 adds a more aggressive tip rocker and wider waist that allow the Solomon QST 106 to be more expressive in softer snow. The Solomon QST 106 includes several contemporary features from shape to materials. The lightweight Koroyd tips provide excellent swing weight for on demand maneuverability and decreased resonance. The unique tapered tip allow for smoother edge to edge transitions in mixed conditions. The overall profile of this ski is a rockered tip, regular camber underfoot and an early rise tail. This allows the ski to pivot when skied over foot and the generous side cut allows for above par carve-ability for a mid-width ski. A combination of a titanium backbone and carbon/flax fiber laminate give the ski a torsional rigid platform for powering through turns. Over all the QST 106 is a solid all mountain platform that will hold an edge while still allowing your playful side to come forth. The Solomon QST 106 is constructed with a wood core reinforced with a titanium backbone. The ski is then reinforced with Solomon's carbon/flax CFX Superfiber laminate adding torsional rigidity. Full sandwich, ABS sidewall construction, extending around the entire sidewall. The tips and tail are constructed using the lightweight material Koroyd that also adds damping and cuts down on tip chatter at high speeds.
