This boot is pure junk. Uppers separate from lowers. North Face should have done the proper and respectable thing...issue a recall.

Please find and look at other reviews. Same problem. Mine were worn three times and just a little over a year old. Looked brand new. Sent them to North Face for repair per REI. They returned, stating 1-year warranty up.

Columbia is my new go-to for outdoor needs. North Face is not a brand that I will spend my hard earned money on ever again.

Pros

  • None

Cons

  • As review states—upper leather separates from lowers

Background

Wore boots twice. Uppers separated from lower on left foot at top of boot just below laces. Right foot boot at the heel.

After less than a dozen very light wearings the black rubber/plastic lower failed on both boots—it cracked and separated from the leather upper on both boots and cracked on the sides and front of the right boot. Appears to be very poor material with no durability.

Pros

  • Well insulated
  • The North Face usually has good products, but this was a real lemon for me. I bought it because of the brand, but I’m very disappointed.

Cons

  • Didn’t stand the test of time
  • Read the warranty very carefully. Warranty appears to exclude footwear and footwear materials, and time limited on footwear. I have photos.

Background

There’s a lot of good footwear out there. I could not recommend this one.
