Here's a problem: how long do you wait to give a review? A year's usage? 5? I think you give reviews as they become relevant and so my first review will be my initial impression after making the purchase and setting it up.

In my opinion this tent is perfect in the ways that it can be.

Could the bathtub floor be taller to my liking? Yes, 2 inches taller I think would be perfect. But what effect would that have? Would it decrease airflow? How much weight would it add? Is it necessary and would it help keep splashing out? These are questions I do not have answers to. Maybe this is something ZPacks already tested and what they ended up is the best way for it to be setup already.

Could the tent be taller? Yes but again, how much weight would it add and how much usability or comfort would it really add? I might as well ask for a smaller profile with a roomier inside while I am at it Tardis style.

Looking past these two items then what could be improved upon in this design? I honestly can’t think of anything. They took all complaints and observations from previous versions and either improved them or simply changed them outright into a perfect version of this type of tent in my opinion.

The screen no longer falls to the floor when open. The magnetic toggles make it easier to put up or take down the fly and screening. The offset keeps the tent off your bag and overall just makes it feel roomier inside. The zippers ensure the fly stays closed in storms and overall are easier to operate in my mind than the previous Duplex without a zipper that I owned.

Right now, I feel like I am searching for something negative to say about this tent or design and I am simply not coming up with anything. I may feel differently after a year of use. We shall see.

Background

I've used the previous model ZPacks Duplex and multiple various tents and hammocks through the years.
