Hillsound Armadillo LT

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Hillsound Armadillo LT gaiters provide full length protection from the wet and yuck, but are breathable and light enough to wear all year long. A waterproof front zipper makes for easy use. Flexible upper material fits closely for less friction, yet allows freedom of movement for hiking, snowshoeing, or light climbing. Easily replaced foot strap is a bonus.                              Close fitting ankle to knee gaiter, but very flexible and light. Manufacturers… Full review

Dirty Girl Gaiters Gaiter

rated 5 of 5 stars Dirty Girl gaiters are a lightweight, simple, and affordable accessory designed to be worn with trail runners and low-top hiking shoes. They serve one basic function and that is to keep dirt and debris from getting inside your shoes. They are great for a variety of activities, from trail running to long-distance hiking. And how could you not like a product with a name like “Dirty Girl”! Description: These gaiters are a simple accessory designed to keep dirt and debris from getting inside a shoe… Full review

Winomo Ankle Gaiter

rated 4 of 5 stars Excellent value. Even with a few shortcomings, keep debris and water out of boots. Reparable. This is my first pair of modern gaiters (long ago I had a pair of army surplus canvas ones). I bought these because I have a new pair of boots which I love except they pick up all sorts of debris. I chose these because they were cheap, and because the strap under the foot is a replaceable string, not a sewn-on strap. I have used them for temperate and hot weather hiking, summer and fall, @ 150 miles so… Full review

Outdoor Research Women's Rocky Mountain High Gaiters

rated 5 of 5 stars Study gaiters for all of your trudging needs! They keep snow and mud out, stay in place, and repel water. Only drawback, sweaty calves. Fit/Comfort/Adjustability: These gaiters are surprisingly comfortable for how sturdy they are—they're sturdy, not stiff! They work with trail runners or mountaineering boots. The adjustable straps under your foot and below the knee allow these gaiters to be used with a wide variety of footwear and pant options. And they stay in place when you fall off your bike.... Kuiu Yukon Gaiters

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The best I have found so far. Now a decent pair of calf to knee high gaiters are a must in my book for hiking and hunting. Even in country that is not wet and steep they are the best thing for keeping grass seeds and pebbles out of your socks and boots and helping to keep your feet dry. They also help save your calves from lacerations from vines and grasses. If you wear a pair of shorts combined with the gaiters you end up with only 4-6 inches of skin exposed to the elements and this gives you the… Full review

REI Activator Gaiter

rated 2.5 of 5 stars Nicely designed to stay down over running shoes, but they wear out fast. The gaiter material is slightly stretchy and breathes well, but the cords that snug the gaiters down over the foot aren't tough enough and it looks like the grommets will pull out after prolonged use. Remember the old, pseudo-Chinese saying: “Man who eat cracker in bead have crumby sleep!”? A runner’s corollary to that might be: “Man who run in sand get sand in shoes!” I don’t like running on asphalt, so here in… Full review

Outdoor Research Men's Crocodile Gaiters

rated 3 of 5 stars OK product made of good materials but could easily be made better. These gaiters are OK, but they could be made much better if they extended further down the front of the boot with an eyelet hook to hook in the bottom boot lace to protect the entire boot. Caribou and Forrest Mountaineering of old made gaiters very similar to these but by extending the gaiter over the entire boot gusset and tongue they provided much better protection from mud, snow, and other muck. Could be an easy fix for a much… Full review

Outdoor Research Men's Crocodile Gaiters

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Heavy duty gaiters for those times you need more than something to keep out dust. Thick protective panels stand up to sharp rocks and errant snowshoes. Tight fit around boots for keeping mud, snow or whatever you get into out of your boots. Full coverage from foot to knee keeps out snow and provides some shin protection as well. Fit & Comfort: Based on their sizing chart I originally ordered these in XL as my foot size falls right in the middle of that 10-13 US range. When they arrived and I… Full review

Outdoor Research Men's Crocodile Gaiters

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Bombproof. These gaiters are one of my favorite pieces of gear. They are not always needed, but whenever I do need them, they do the job impeccably. Fit: The size large fits well over my La Sportiva Trango GTX boots but does not fit over my plastic ski boots. It's a bit of a bummer they don't fit over my ski boots because it would have been nice when out on the glacier in the summer to keep snow out of my boots when it is too hot out to wear pants. However, having them fit over my ski boots means… Full review
