Fishing Kayak, Ti Ax, Fast Inflatable: Demo Day Videos

A fishing kayak, a titanium ax head, and a fast inflatable pad. As promised here are three product videos from Tuesday's Open Air Demo at Outdoor Retailer, because sometimes photos alone don't cut it.

For more on these and other gear we saw at Demo Day, check out our previous post, "Gear to Paddle, Cut, Cook, Capture, Eat, and Sleep."

Pelican International Catch 120

Joel McBride showed us the Catch 120 fishing kayak, coming spring 2016 from Pelican International.

Klecker Knives Ti-KLAX

Kimberly Nelson from Klecker Knives showed us the Ti-KLAX titanium multi-tool ax.

Windcatcher AirPad 2 Plus

Ryan Frayne, Windcatcher inventor and president, demonstrated the amplified inflation of the AirPad 2 Plus.

Thanks for posting the video, a kayak is on my short list of gear to purchase. So far I haven't decided on fishing vs. touring.

There's a lot of content going up on the Trailspace Facebook page, I encourage everyone to go check it out.

I saw both the Windcatcher at the Outdoor session and a Cascades Design pad (Thermarest division) that appears to be identical at the Indoor session in the Salt Palace. I did not compare them side by side, but everything down to the color, dimensions,  and size matched as closely as I can remember, seeing both a day apart,  but not having them both in hand at the same time.

Yup. I was rather surprised myself.

I'm thinking Review Corps tests of both...

Thanks, Jake.

For those who haven't seen, we have three photo albums with hundreds of pictures from the show on Facebook:

Once I'm back at work later this month, I'll be moving onto the process of scheduling and putting in loads of gear requests for our Review Corps.
