ALPS Mountaineering Blaze 0

Big & Comfy   Compare to 5 gal bucket Wide     I purchased another inexpensive winter bag and after a few nights realized that the only thing the liner wouldn't stick to is bare skin. And, well, let's face it, why use a bag you have to crawl out of without clothes when the temp is down into single digits? Not me anyway. I've seen this brand at REI for several years and took a closer look. For the price, it was an excellent value. It has baffles around the neck, a decent zipper with a baffle,… Full review

Sierra Designs Night Cap 20

A sleeping bag with a couple of tricks up its sleeve, or in the bag as the case may be. With a zipper-less design and made from recycled materials, it's based on Sierra Designs' best selling Cloud Sleeping Bag, but at a much friendlier price.   Sierra Designs Night Cap 20º Sleeping Bag—pillow, pad, tent, and view not included. About Sierra Designs has been around since 1965 when founders Bob Swanson and George Marks decided all people deserve good gear for exploring the outdoors. Their aim… Full review

Browning Camping Basecamp 0

While not easy to find, the Browning Basecamp 0 degree bag is roomy, comfortable, warm, and relatively lightweight for the cost. Unfortunately getting hard to find. This bag has met or exceeded my expectations on every outing. Comfortable, relatively lightweight, and warm, the Browning Basecamp 0 degree mummy bag packs down relatively small. I've used this bag for the last two years when the weather warrants, sleeping warm down to about -10° with a good pad and blanket. I'm 6'3" and 260 lbs. and… Full review

Kelty Tuck 20

Kelly Tuck 20 long—brilliant for tall side sleepers. I’m six foot four and find it really hard to get comfortable on most camp sleep systems. The Kelty Tuck 20 long enables me to move around being a side sleeper and I thoroughly recommend it. Pack size is an issue; use an Exped  compression bag, which gets it down in size well. It’s a trade-off for being tall and not paying over £100 for a sleeping bag. I’ve used it in freezing and 5c temps and it’s really warm. Full review

Marmot Trestles Elite 20

With a good price and low weight, it is an excellent option for backpacking and traveling in three seasons. This is the sleeping bag I use for my three-season outings, where temperatures can reach 0° C (32° F). 1) Warmth: The most extreme temperature in which I have used it was -6° C (21.2° F) and being with a warm layer I had no problems. But I would recommend it for situations over to 0° C (32° F). 2) Fit & Comfort:  It is a comfortable sleeping bag, not too tight at the height of… Full review

Wiggy's Ultra Light

Heavier than advertised, terrible customer service. This is one of two Wiggys sleeping bags I recently purchased, the other being a Superlight of the same design. When both came in I immediately inspected and weighed them only to find that each weighed in right at a pound  heavier than advertised; 4.25lbs for the Ultralight, and 5.06lbs for the Superlight. Since these were meant to be lightweight, warmer weather substitutes for the Ultima Thule bag  I have owned and loved for years I was pretty… Full review

Wiggy's Super Light

Bag failed to keep my feet warm at 30 degrees and you saw on different sites where people were having the same issue with the newer bags now. The older ones don't have that trouble. There is just not enough installation in the foot area in the new ones. Texted Jerry Wigutow about it and he had a very negative response about, told me first off get in a tent on a pad, then he told me to get a pair of booties. Then I sent him copies of other sites having the same trouble because he said he never had… Full review

Kelty Tuck 20

BEST sleeping bag for hiking I've ever owned. Personal comfort rating at 30-70 degrees F. I go over the dimensions and material in my video review which you can find here: First off, I love this sleeping bag. The coldest temp I've slept in this bag was around 25 degrees F, which was a bit cool but bearable. The warmest temp I've used this bag in was probably around 70-75 degrees F, which was still very comfortable due to the fact you can vent the feet side of the bag. However if you're sleeping… Full review
