The efficient Kite uses the Motive frame and is a lightweight womens pack designed for compact loads and nimble cross country travel. Patent-pending Fit-Lock harness and waist belt conform to the body shape of the user and lock into place, distributing load evenly over the entire frame and eliminating painful pressure points. Result? Less fatigue and a more comfortable carry.

Heading out on a weekend of hiking Carry your gear in the Mountain Hardwear Kite Women's Backpack and take advantage of the extremely comfortable Exodus Motive suspension system. This Mountain Hardwear-exclusive suspension system uses Fit-Lock shoulder straps and hip belts that mold to your body without heat shaping. Lightweight Scandium tubing connects the suspension to the pack and creates flow-through ventilation matched only by external-frame packs. Pack your load in the Kite Women's Backpack, and hit the trails for a weekend of hiking. It's hydration compatible to keep the water flowing, and the streamline design allows for snag-free hiking when you're off the beaten path.

The radical thinkers at Mountain Hardware have done it again, introducing a women's backpack with on-the-fly torso adjust for climbing and hiking! Women's Fit-Lock™ shapeable shoulder yoke and hipbelt accommodate a wide range of body sizes. The yoke wraps around the front of the torso, instead of underneath the arms, giving you more freedom of movement when bending or reaching. Structurally rigid, the Fit-Lock Harness conforms, then locks, to the user's unique body contours for a customized fit and even load distribution. Special U-Bar™ upper load stabilizer connects the yoke to the frame, maintaining the load-bearing shape of the shoulder harness. U-Bar also has a fine-tuning torso-length adjustment that can be done while carrying the pack. Exodus™ suspension's on-the-fly torso-length adjustment distributes the load over a large area to carry weight easily and comfortably. Motive™ frame is built for backcountry athletes like skiers and mountaineers, who require enhanced freedom of movement. Pivoting waistbelt with rear tilt tensioner maintains load support while easing bending, leaning and stepping upward. Advanced Scandium™ alloy tubes attach to the frame, transferring load to waistbelt. Top-loading main compartment features a folding collar that rolls down dry-bag style to seal contents from the elements. Removable top pocket lets you streamline the pack when trip requirements allow a smaller load. Hydration-compatible design features reservoir pocket and twin drink-tube exit ports for on-the-go hydration (reservoir sold separately). Single Axe-S toggle holds an ice axe or trekking pole securely, yet releases quickly on demand. Large front stretch pocket can hold a jacket or helmet; twin side stretch-mesh pockets can hold water bottles or smaller, often used essentials.
