TheTentLab Deuce of Spades #1

Pages could be written about an ultralight backpacking trowel...I believe the Official Moto is "They help you doo-doo the right thing." But enough has already been said about TheTentLab's Deuce #2 and #3, so I'm here to finish the Trilogy with my few inputs on this wonderfully functional and compact tool: It helps me dig tiny holes in the backcountry and has been a reliable companion for a long time. Mostly I just forget it's there...until I desperately need it. First off, I wanted to use this opportunity… Full review

There’s nothing worse than having to slip your harness off to pee. But you don’t have to anymore.  The Tinkle Belle The Tinkle Belle is a… Full review

Cleanwaste Go Anywhere Toilet Kit Wag Bag

The Cleanwaste Go Anywhere Toilet Kit Wag Bag has all of the basic elements needed to handle, treat, and then transport your poop while in the outdoors. Wag Bags are also a great way for you to help keep the popular outdoor areas you visit a joy for others by enabling you to properly dispose of your waste in areas where mother nature just doesn't have the capability to do it for you. On a section hike of the John Muir Trail this last summer, I exited my hike out through Mt. Whitney portal which… Full review

Reliance Tri-To-Go Camping Chair/Portable Toilet

Going to the bathroom in remote areas can be a challenge. As I have gotten older the old "Dig a hole" method doesn't work and I want to use Leave No Trace principles. When looking for an option that would work for me I considered several and finally landed this "chair/toilet". This has been such a great addition to my camping supply box that I have ordered another one so I now have one in two locations. I purchased this last spring for a camping trip. Wasn't able to use until my fall camping trip… Full review

GoGirl Female Urination Device

Transgender male-to-female. I live in upstate New York and I’m transgender male-to-female and getting gender reassignment surgery to become a woman. Right now I’m wearing a prosthetic vagina and with it learning to pee uout method. So when hiking I have been having to squat behind a tree to pee. Not the most pleasant experience but part of being a lady. Having to expose butt to bugs and plants to relieve bladder. Then in recent cold having to remove layers of clothing and squat in the snow was… Full review

Thinx Classic Undies

Dealing with periods in the backcountry can be incredibly frustrating. But Thinx unswear just might offer a solution. Periods are a regular part of most women's life. And yet they're still taboo to talk about. Instead of weighing all of our options, we pace along the period aisle in the grocery store, opting to use the most popular products (pads and tampons). But what other options are there? And how do you begin to handle periods in the backcountry? As someone who spends a lot of time in the wilderness,… Full review

TheTentLab Deuce of Spades #3

An essential tool for backcountry camping, where strength, durability, light weight and effectiveness are critical! Tentlab's Deuce #3 HD Trowel meets and exceeds on all counts!                                              The Deuce #3 HD Trowel  by TentLab One cannot really wax eloquent on a poop shovel, but if you could...it would be about TentLab's Deuce #3 HD Trowel. I have owned and used other shovels but when an extended trip where weight and durability was really a… Full review

TheTentLab Deuce of Spades #2

The #1 item for when I need to go #2. The Deuce of Spades is a great little trowel that works like a charm. I wrap a bandana around the handle to make it a little easier to use. I received this as a prize from Trailspace for being a Reviewer of the Month. A quick note: I was initially hesitant to write this review, since this product is already well covered here on Trailspace (at the time of writing, there are six reviews, all 5-stars), but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that… Full review

pStyle

Women be free! No more being scared to get out of your tent at midnight to pee. Women, we need to talk honestly. There are a lot of female urinary devices out there, and I found a favorite, the Pstyle. With the carrying case which has a carabiner to attach to my pack, the cost is about $23. I have been looking for a solution to crawling out of my tent at night, in the rain, to urinate. I tried just a plastic bag with disastrous results. With this sleek design, you just have to kneel on one knee,… Full review
