Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120 Angler

rated 2 of 5 stars The most important issue being the watertight storage, it's sadly not water tight and leaks like a sieve. Mine was purchased at Up & Under, UK, and manufactured under license by Palm Europe International. It was returned twice because of the bad leak and a full refund issued. No replacement offered as there is a mould (mold) issue and the 120 will always leak. If it was not for the leak it would have scored highly, but a boat that leaks is not much use. Full review

Advanced Elements AirFusion Elite

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This 13-foot folding kayak has a combination of metal frame and inflatable support. It's light to carry and it's sporty to paddle. Easy to transport by bus or small car or carrying, the AirFusion is an environmentally-sensible choice. The tough construction lasts for years of use. I've tried most of the different kayak models made by Advanced Elements, and other brands as well. The AirFusion is a particular treat to paddle! It's excellent for recreational paddling on flat water and day trips. I… Full review

Perception Prodigy 10

rated 4.5 of 5 stars I received this kayak as a gift and it is my first kayak ever. I have used it for paddling on flat water and slow moving streams. As a newbie paddler, this has been a great first boat. It is very stable and maneuvers well. The cockpit and seat are comfortable for my 6'3" frame. After years of asking my wife for a boat, she surprised me with a kayak. I have enjoyed many hours paddling Lake Lanier here in Georgia as well as the Etowah and Chatahoochee Rivers. The Prodigy is a great learner's kayak,… Full review

Dagger Alchemy 14.0L

rated 5 of 5 stars I chose this model for purchase after a season of renting different types for evaluation. I live on the waterfront of a narrow flatwater high current river. Good performance going up or down stream. Rugged hull for rocky landings to explore tiny islands.   I've dumped and hit everything in the river, and expect this boat will last a lifetime. Skegg is awesome. Very good storage capacity and a very comfortable seat, knee pads etc... I'm 5'8" 220 lbs and even with dry suit and rain skirt this is… Full review

Old Town Twin Heron

rated 5 of 5 stars Old Town produced a great family recreational kayak in the Twin Heron. Excellent learning kayak and wonderful for a quiet day on lake or stream. I've paddled most of my life and this is the most comfortable kayak or canoe I've had. Visited the Old Town factory in Maine and found a great deal on a Twin Heron kayak. Couldn't wait to get it in the water! This 60-pound kayak is easy to handle out of the water with two carry handles and lots of places to grab when you lift it onto a vehicle. Unique colors… Full review

Wilderness Systems Pungo 120

rated 4 of 5 stars Super stable and tracks well. This is a great kayak for touring around lakes and rivers. Great for beginner paddlers and beyond. I've been a canoer my entire life but decided that my big 15' canoe was a bit too heavy for me to man-handle alone so I sold it and bought the 12' Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 kayak which weighs about 49 pounds (30 pounds less than my old canoe).   I had never sat in a kayak before and I was a little nervous about how different it might be from my canoeing experience. Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100

rated 5 of 5 stars Are you looking for a moderate sized, sit-on-top kayak that's easy to transport, comfortable to sit in, handles well, and is capable of carrying enough gear for a backcountry adventure? Then you should consider the Wilderness Systems TARPON 100 sit-on-top kayak. I've prepared an in-depth video review of the Wilderness Systems TARPON 100 sit-on-top kayak.  I bought this kayak as a birthday gift for my wife, but I love it so much I'm considering getting one for myself. This 10 foot-long kayak weighs… Full review

Oru Kayak Bay ST

rated 5 of 5 stars The 2017 Oru Kayak Bay ST is light, extremely portable, easy to assemble, and strong. It is pricy, but that’s the tradeoff for its weight and portability. i purchased the Bay ST and the Beach LT from REI online for my wife and me after we inspected and sat in them at the 2017 REI Labor Day sale. I had them shipped to my local REI for pickup. Both fit inside my Toyota Prius. When I got them home, I assembled each in my backyard. The folds were pretty stiff during the first few times I assembled… Full review

Folbot Greenland II

rated 5 of 5 stars Through a gator-infested river in Guatemala to Belize and north to the mighty St. Lawrence river of Ontario, Canada, the Greenland II never let me down. The Greenland II design always caught my attention. In the early nineties I called Folbot in South Carolina requesting a ready to ship two seater. The kind lady on the Folbot end stated that a blue Greenland II was indeed available. Two days later, I picked up the kayak at the Miami International Airport cargo area. The fine craft arrived with me… Full review
