RōM Outdoors RōM Pack

rated 2.5 of 5 stars This pack seems to work better as a “tailgating” pack rather than a camping pack. It is overall big and bulky. It transitions pretty smoothly after a few times but originally it was a little awkward. A 3-in-1 system, the RōM Pack is a backpack you can fully transform into either a wearable poncho with a hood or a blanket that’s soft on one side and water resistant on the other. I received this product and I brought it on a campout when I planned to “cowboy camp” and then I broke one of… Full review

Osprey Tempest 30

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Chose as my first pack. I purchased this as my first pack, as I was looking for something that I could use not only as a daypack, but potentially for an overnight trip. I'm still relatively new to the whole backpacking scene, so it will be interesting to see if it works for me! I have yet to load it all up for any trip, but with some weight in it, it seems to distribute it pretty well and doesn't aggravate my bad shoulders! Overall I think it is really well made and I love the color! Full review

Dana Design Slider

rated 5 of 5 stars This is an awesome pack. Too bad it's no longer on the market. It fits snug to the body and allows one to carry a snowboard, skis, or snowshoes quite comfortably. I am 5'7" tall. For me it is perfect. I'm not sure how it would fit someone taller. I don't remember if there were sizes. I doubt it. It is a great day pack to fit a first aid kit, lunch, and a change of clothes. It is especially good for backcountry skiers and snowboarders. Excellent fit, will stay in place all day whether you're slogging… Full review

Red Rock Outdoor Gear Element Day Pack

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This is a great compact daypack that I have used alone on quick hikes for an afternoon and also when I did a four-day camping trip when hiking the Pocono Mountains. It was sturdy and a great size with a pocket for my hydration bladder. The padded mesh back made for a comfortable trip in hot weather hiking. I liked that the shoulder straps were padded and the back was meshed for when I got hot while hiking. I like to go lightweight and appreciated the cinch straps to tighten my load. I am an average… Full review

Patagonia Nine Trails Pack 14L

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Nine Trails 14-liter backpack is a great fit for mountain bikers looking for a pack that will comfortably carry the essentials for a full day of riding. It has plenty of storage compartments, keeping items organized and easy to access. I love the long, low profile shape of the pack. It keeps items snug and centered, allowing me to ride technical terrain without throwing off my balance or range of motion. Testing Conditions: I tested the Patagonia Nine Trails 14-liter backpack as a member of… Full review

Cotopaxi Luzon 18

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Minimalist, single compartment pack with features that promote function and comfort. Outer zipped pocket and internal hydration sleeve with a drawstring top. Makes a great day or summit pack, but enough room for UL overnights. Specs: Capacity: 18L Weight: 11.5oz/327g Bag Material: Ripstop nylon Fit, Comfort, & Ride: The Cotopaxi Luzon 18L is a small pack that rides well on the upper middle portion of my back. I have an oddly long 21" torso for a man of average height and I find the bottom of… Full review

Gregory Salvo 24

rated 5 of 5 stars Great little pack for a day hike! This pack is perfect for a day hike. Right amount of organizational pockets that let you place your gear for quick and easy access. Nice vented back panel that breathes and wicks away moistUre. Hip belt with small pockets to store quick access items. Not too small and not too big. Just perfect! Full review

Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 21

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A relatively small, highly durable daypack that moves easily from commuting to the trail. While this is no lightweight for a backpack this small, it is comfortable to carry and supremely easy to access the contents. With inner sleeves that swallow a laptop, tablet, and cables, it would be a super solution for commuters who prefer a backpack to a briefcase. It's basically a smaller, stripped-down version of one of my favorite larger daypacks, the 38 liter Mystery Ranch Snapdragon. The lack of any… Full review

RōM Outdoors RōM Pack

rated 3 of 5 stars The RoM Pack delivers in durability and diversity. If you're looking for a twist on a daypack, the RoM Pack is hard to beat. I had the opportunity to review the RoM Pack. The RoM pack offers a durable daypack that transforms into a fleece lined blanket and water resistant poncho. This pack also includes a drawstring stuff sack as an added bonus.  The pack weighs in around 4.6 pounds, slightly heavier than most daypacks I've worn hiking, but could be worn on a shorter hikes without much extra effort.
