T3 Zip-T

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Excellent thermal base-layer top. This review is for the standard (Synthetic) T3 Zip-T, not the more expensive Merino Wool version. The photo shows the 2-tone Eclipse Heather/Coal colouration. The T3 is the thickest in MEC's own line of thermal base layers. The T2 and T1 are each lighter and thinner than the previous. The Zip-T model of the shirt has a half-length zipper (as the name implies) and a tall collar when fully zipped, almost like a turtle-neck. No pockets; no cinches or draw cords; no… Full review

Deluxe Pillow

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This is my dream pillow for camping. Compacts small, and inflates large and firm. Colours: "Cardinal Red Foliage Print" or "Asphalt" Sizes: Medium is 27.5 x 39 x 12 cm (10-3/4" x 15-1/4" x 4-3/4") Large is 30 x 49 x 12 cm (11-3/4" x 19-1/4" x 4-3/4"). Fit & Comfort (8/10): The fit is appropriate for side-sleepers who need a thicker, firmer pillow. Other sleepers (back/front) can also deflate it to your liking, if you prefer a thinner pillow. The shredded memory-foam makes the top surface really… Full review

Reactor 3.8

rated 4 of 5 stars Lightweight sleeping pad. Compact and still comfortable for sleeping. Self inflation is mediocre. The back viewFront viewI purchased this pad last year to replace my aging 3/4 length pad. My old one was bulky even though it was 3/4 length and had to be strapped to the outside of my pack. Not ideal. The MEC Reactor 3.8 is described as a medium thickness pad with an R value of 3.4 And is full length. It comes with a stuff sac and a repair kit.  This is a self-inflating pad. Mine has not been the… Full review

Tarn 3 Plus

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A great tent that I've been using for many years, and hope/expect to get many more years of use from it. Story Time: Okay, first off, I should mention how I came into possession of this MEC Tarn 3 Plus tent. About 10-12 years ago, I frequented eBay quite a bit looking for great deals on lightly used mountain bikes and other equipment. One day, I came across a police auction site, propertyroom.com. It has since gone downhill a bit, but back then, it was a decent place to find nice mountain bikes… Full review

Brio 40

rated 3 of 5 stars I'm on the large side of "average male build", and this pack seems like a youth pack to me... which I suppose is not a failing, but it makes the pack unusable to someone of my stature. The volume and harness size seem ideally suited to either youth or petite women, who would probably find this pack very versatile and useful for small trips without a lot of gear. Fit: It doesn't say so in the product description, or anywhere on the pack itself, but I would recommend this pack to children/youth or… Full review
