National Geographic Lake 65

Large but not that bulky. Material seems durable. Average price for South American market. If you are around in either Chile or Peru, check this model out online in Ripley, Falabella, or any other online retailer. Size: 65.5 x 31.5 x 24 cm Weight: 1.74 kg Material: polyester 420D Ripstop and Nylon 600D Capacity: 65 liters Full review

Deuter Futura 50 + 10 Vario

Great backpack with useless hip belt suspension. I used to be a huge fan of Deuter's products but I'm very disappointed in this backpack. The hip belt is poorly designed and it doesn't transfer the load properly. It lays too low (on the upper part of my butt) even if I tighten the belt very hard. The lumbar support doesn't exist practically. This makes the backpack very uncomfortable. Otherwise the backpack is great. It''s not so lightweight, but it's durable and has so many options. It has many… Full review

Granite Gear Crown V.C. 60

Very nice lightweight pack with plenty of room, at a reasonable price. I had been wanting to shed some weight from my pack for some time, and previous attempts involved carrying a smaller capacity pack, which isn't always practical. When I had the opportunity to acquire a like-new used Granite Gear Crown VC 60, I grabbed it. I'm glad I did. At 34 oz (29 oz without the internal frame), it's about 2 lbs lighter than my other similarly-sized pack. The VC 60 may not be able to handle as much weight… Full review

Mountainsmith Chimera

Best bug out bag you could get! Been putting packs together bug out bags for over two years now. This is the best pack I have found for it. I filled it easily with ammo, tent, sleeping bag, food and water, fire starter, knives, para-cord, fishing kit and cloths; still I had room and it was at least 7lbs lighter than my lightest pack with the same stuff in it. Teton Sports Scout 3400

Decent pack. On my second as a zipper broke, great customer service. I've had this pack since 2015(ish). It's held up well. Have put many miles on it, but unfortunately on the last trip one of the side pocket zippers broke. I contacted Teton and they asked for a few pics and proof of purchase. They sent a new one within a week. New one hasn't been trail yet, but looks to be good to go! Full review

Eberlestock J34 Just One

High quality, multi-function pack for week-plus trips. I have used on several camping trips and several hunting trips and it has ample room for excursions of up to nine days with food and all gear. It is a comfortable pack with wide hip belt for heavy loads and has the ability to zip up and strap down for a smaller profile pack.  Full review

The North Face Skareb 55

A good lightweight pack to hold all your essentials. I've had this pack for a number of years, only to use as a pack for overnight trips to carry my clothing. Always kept indoors, dry, away from heat sources. The rubber coating on the inside has started to deteriorate though, and this is prevalent in the upper part where you roll the two flaps to close the pack. It was fine for a couple of years, but now the rubber is really peeling and falling off, and gets all over your clothing inside. It's unfortunate,… Full review

Six Moon Designs Minimalist

The Six Moon Designs Minimalist is a backpack engineered to let you change configurations easily to match your changing needs. The frame and hip belt are entirely removable. You can select shoulder straps or a vest harness at time of purchase which can be swapped easily as well if you purchase both. The Minimalist is best for Light/Ultra Light use with total loads below 35 lbs. It remained functionally useful and comfortable with loads approaching 50lbs. Its comfortable ride makes it great for day-after-day… Full review

Over 20 years of use from -20 to 110 temps. It’s durable, able to handle heavy loads, and adjustable to different size users. Comfortable and adjustable, I have gained 65lbs since I got it and it still fits. It’s a beast. Had it over 20 years. It’s been in -20 and 110 degree temps. It hauled 70 lbs with my 17-year old 6'2" 265-lb son while elk hunting in Colorado for a week, survived eight weeks of basic training at ALERT in Texas. Was broke in while in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, been… Full review
