Wilderness Experience Latok 1

rated 5 of 5 stars Thirty-four years later the bag is in excellent shape. Now November 2018...Highly Recommended. So I bought this bag back in the early '80s when I lived in Minnesota as it was rated for -20 degrees I believe. Paid $220 for it new then from Midwest Mountaineering. Slept in my Chevy Van for awhile during -20 degree winter and this thing kept me comfortable.I'm not a climber or anything—just like good gear and to go camping occasionally. Decided to take this thing out of storage and air it out some. Full review

Kelty Men's Tuck 20

rated 5 of 5 stars BEST sleeping bag for hiking I've ever owned. Personal comfort rating at 30-70 degrees F. I go over the dimensions and material in my video review which you can find here: First off, I love this sleeping bag. The coldest temp I've slept in this bag was around 25 degrees F, which was a bit cool but bearable. The warmest temp I've used this bag in was probably around 70-75 degrees F, which was still very comfortable due to the fact you can vent the feet side of the bag. However if you're sleeping… Full review

NEMO Punk 20

L.L.Bean Ultralight Sleeping Bag, 0 Mummy

rated 4 of 5 stars LL Bean's Ultralight 0 Degree Mummy Bag features Cross-Core technology, testing the boundaries of Aerogel and PrimaLoft Gold insulation. Theoretically, this design should increase the sleeping bag warmth-to-weight ratio. Finding the right sleeping bag can prove to be challenging. Features like sleeping bag loft, temperature rating, and weight can test even the most experienced backpackers. But LL Bean's 0 Degree Ultralight Sleeping Bag does a good job of implementing the outdoor industry's most… Full review

Marmot Men's Trestles Elite 30

rated 2.5 of 5 stars Trestles Elite 30? Ha ha ha! Keep dreaming. By 50° (10° Celsius) you'll get cold on the trail. Quite narrow as well and not as light as they say. Quite disappointing! Beautiful numbers, but they are far from reality. Go out and try it out on the mid-season normal conditions, not on laboratory zero humidity. Full review

Mountain Hardwear HyperLamina Torch 0

rated 5 of 5 stars Super bag for winter camping!! Totally worth your money. If it’s not below freezing, you may be hot though! Packable, kind of, and big....but you can pack it. Not the best for ultra light backpacking, but if you are doing a weekend trip or a couple nights at a campground, it’s easy to use! Best use is camping in the back of your truck for some winter adventures! I took this bag out In February for some winter camping in the Eastern Sierras and this bag kept me super warm. One tip is to put some… Full review

The North Face Dolomite 20/-7

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a modern rectangular sleeping bag, with the feel of high tech, but reminds me of sleeping bags I used when I was a kid. I love it—very warm! When I’m too hot I open it up and use it as a blanket. I also like the neat quarter bag zip on the opposite side; I never feel confined in it. This will certainly be my only sleeping bag for three seasons. I spent a week on a canoe camping trip with this sleeping bag. It is very comfortable—I slept like a baby. It also filled me with nostalgia… Full review

Wilderness Experience Latok 1

rated 5 of 5 stars Purchased the Latok as my first mountaineering bag in 1981 and I still use it today (2018). It has saved me from peril on more than one occasion, also I've slept directly on snow in this bag and was completely comfortable! It's kept in near perfect condition. The quality of Wilderness Experience products are second to none. I grew up in Central Oregon in a little town named Bend. In 1981 I got my first job at Discount Mountain Supply where I worked and spent every penny I made...on Wilderness Experience… Full review

The North Face Snowshoe 3D

rated 2 of 5 stars This bag was rated at zero degrees. The fill is inadequate and to top it off there is no draft collar. I would rate it as lame 40-degree bag. Full review
