Therm-a-Rest Women's NeoAir XLite

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Therm-a-rest NeoAir XLite mattress is the perfect balance of warmth, size, and weight for a light backpacking kit. The pad weighs just 12 ounces with an R-Value of 3.2 in a profile the size of a one-liter water bottle. The Therm-a-rest NeoAir XLite inflatable mattress is a marvel of warmth in a small package. I was still using the very first NeoAir model, which was revolutionary when it came out but only had an R-Value of 2. The NeoAir XLite has an R-Value of 3.2. It doesn’t sound like much… Full review

Exped DownMat 7

rated 1 of 5 stars Very expensive for a product that is such poor quality. Don't waste your money. My family (wife and 4 kids) have been backpacking for years with Therm-a-Rests. I thought I would treat mysefl and buy a more comfortable warmer mat. What a mistake. If you like to pay a lot of money for a mat that leaks, this product is for you. I have used this mat for about 10 nights in total and have treated it very delicately. I can not find any holes and the mat still looks like new.   Full review

Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Insulated Mat

rated 4 of 5 stars I used to have two Therm-a-Rest self inflating mats (1980) and was never happy. This StS insulated mat is a lot better on warmth and comfort 10-fold. With my Katabatic Flex 22 top quilt I'll sleep like a king. Very happy with it. Although length is sufficient, I wish there was an option for a little bit more width. Full review

Exped DownMat 9

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Super comfortable and warm. Not fun to pump without Schnozzle. This is one heck of a nice mat. I sleep better while using it than I do in our bed at home. Really! I'm not sure what it is, but it is extremely comfortable.  The package weight and packed sized are not really all that different from my ultralightweight Therm-a-Rest CampLite, but the sleeping experience is worlds apart.  I am a naturally frugal person. Some call me cheap. Extremely cheap. I was lucky to find this at a flea market,… Full review

NEMO Tensor Insulated 20

rated 4 of 5 stars Excellent weight, excellent R-value, excellent thickness, but noisy and not very comfortable in some positions For two years I had the Sea to Summit Insulated comfort pad and loved it except that I continually had issues with it losing air overnight with two different pads. So I decided to try out this Nemo Tensor Insulated 20 pad. I've only had it a few months and honestly I don't think I'll keep it. I want to love it, but my gut feeling doesn't. I want to love it for these reasons. The weight… Full review

Therm-a-Rest DreamTime

rated 1.5 of 5 stars A fine product if you want a lightweight packable mattress. I have gone through about six mattresses and ended up using another brand. Although the Therm-A-Rest line works well at first, I found ALL the ones I owned were prone to leaks after extensive camping. My first purchase was the first year they came out. Gave them four tries over the years, every time they'd change the seal I'd purchase the model to see if it stood up better than the previous model. But finally I had to change. I went with… Full review

Therm-a-Rest Women's NeoAir XLite

rated 5 of 5 stars Love this pad! It's durable, comfortable, lights, and the kicker...it rolls up easily (my favorite part, because we all know how bad it sucks to spend ten minutes trying to get a pad back into its sleeve. Overall I'd say it is the best pad on the market, and I have tried many. Plus, it doubles as a raft for the lake, however I doubt this is recommended. See below for a great story. Love this pad and I will tell you why! One night while backing in Colorado, I went to bed and like to bring my water… Full review

Klymit Static V Luxe

rated 4 of 5 stars A good pad....a tad on the bulky side when compressed and a bit heavy. Good ove all piece. A tad heavy and bulky. I found it very easy to slide off to one side or the other when there is any incline or even just turning over. After two outings it has not punctured yet. Full review

Exped DownMat UL 7

rated 5 of 5 stars Best sleeping pad I've ever used in over 40 years of backpacking! I've used this pad for over six years, including in the Michigan U.P. in February in a blizzard, with temperatures reaching 7 below zero! It does EXACTLY what I want it to do, and does it better than any pad I've ever used, in over 40 years of backpacking: It provides a comfortably cushioned sleeping surface; it's very light for its R-rating, and it keeps me warm all night. It's also easy to inflate, with the included Exped Schnozzel… Full review
