Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2

Lightweight summerish freestanding tent (low tub) easy to pitch, well made and truly waterproof, great for longer stays too, stayed a month and enjoyed it, didn't let me down in stormy weather/downpour, for one person+gear = excellent! Handy ground sheet protecting the tub, no etxra pegs needed Setting up is straightforward  As soon as you connect poles, tent and groundsheet you snap the inner tent onto the poles Like the hubs the poles connect to making it a very stable tent plus that horizontal… Full review

A solid UL trekking pole tent with top-notch materials and workmanship. Bare-minimum sleeping space for two, short on headroom for sleepers, and limited vestibule area. “…backpackers can choose to be overnight hikers or backcountry campers. The former love to hike all day and camp only so that they can recharge for another day of hiking. The latter prefer a more leisurely itinerary and/or to partake in an extracurricular activity, like fishing, birding, and photography.”-- Andrew Skurka I… Full review

Outdoor Vitals Dominion 2P

DO NOT BUY FROM OUTDOOR VITALS! This is a very hard and disappointing review to leave but you shouldn’t buy these products, they’ll fail. Most importantly you shouldn’t buy these products because Outdoor Vitals will not honor its “lifetime” warranty. It’s a hook to make you believe this is a reputable product and company. It is not. Read the other reviews. This is their standard business practice. Like most folks here, I’m an avid camper and hiker. The quality of products I use matters… Full review

Zpacks Offset Duo Tent

Well designed, thought out, and usable ultralight tent. Left Right    Interior   Here's a problem: how long do you wait to give a review? A year's usage? 5? I think you give reviews as they become relevant and so my first review will be my initial impression after making the purchase and setting it up. In my opinion this tent is perfect in the ways that it can be. Could the bathtub floor be taller to my liking? Yes, 2 inches taller I think would be perfect. But what effect would that have? Would… Full review

This tent is very difficult to set up alone. Even with assistance it is not easy. The tent was cramped and I am only 5'7". The tent has a poor design for getting the rain fly to cover the tent in an even manner. I won this tent in a backpacking bundle auction over a year ago. I used it on one trip last summer and had a difficult time setting it up. Weather conditions were great so I was able to manage. This past week I had a week-long trail project I was going on with the Idaho Trail Association. Full review

Works fine. Light. Spacious. 1.2 pounds for a spacious two-person tent is pretty good. Use trekking poles for support. Tent stakes and ground cloth not part of the 1.2 pounds. It really is spacious, and the vestibules are also huge. I use 8 stakes. In my use has stood up to over 40 MPH wind without any issues. Fits into provided stuff bag easily even with ground cloth attached. Once you figure out how to erect it sets up really quickly. Takes about three times to get the setup routine perfected. The North Face Geodome 4 Tent

Very stable tent for all weather, four-season use. Beautiful tough tent that can withstand all weather: rain, snow, hard wind. Despite what may fly around on the web, It's actually easy to set up, except two points: The first is when you need to raise the first pole, that is hard to do alone; two people is easy for that first pole. The second being the eventual need to adjust the rainfly after throwing it over the top. The velcro straps are a bit short to reach in a propper way in their positions. Full review

Love this tent—lots of internal pockets and can/bottle holders. Great weather durability and wind/waterproof. It has kept my family dry and protected during some significant storms. Holds a queen sized cot w/ room to walk around it. Rear small vestibule is great for suitcases/clothes. HUGE front vestibule. Have used this tent for 15+ years. One of the main poles is slightly bent and had to restring a couple of the poles. Also bought a new fly due to the pine sap dripping on the old one.  No problems… Full review

ALPS Mountaineering Acropolis 4

This is a pretty decent 4-person tent, especially for the cost. Good compromise on space versus weight versus durability versus cost. We inherited an old, old 6-person Coleman tent for car camping.  It had an extremely tough floor material, which was good as it came with a pair of older cots.  But all good things must come to an end.  Between degrading shock cord, failing waterproofing, and long-use damage to the floor tub, it was time to retire the old girl.  A decent amount of research went… Full review
