NEMO Tango Duo 30

A great two-person setup—for warm weather. Rating is 30°, but no way is it comfy at 30. Been using this for a couple years now and have been cold several nights. Took it to Utah's Uintahs and froze in the 30's. Took to southern Utah in the 40's and was fine. I originally did not have insulated pads and that was terrible. But even with insulated pads, this won't keep you warm in the 30's. Really needs something to connect the quilt to the hood between the two campers to keep the cold out. Full review

Alpkit Cloud Cover

A lightweight and versatile alternative to a full sleeping bag. 750+ fill power hydrophobic goose down quilt. Can be used as a blanket or, at a pinch, the sides can be joined to form a bag. Like my clothing, I like to use layers when it comes to my sleeping kit. I use this as a throw-on blanket when the temperature drops during the night. Therm-a-Rest Vesper 32F/0C Quilt

The Therm-A-Rest Vesper 32 Quilt is a good ultralight quilt...if judged on its Comfort temperature rating and not its Lower Limit. As such, it should really be titled the Vesper 41F Quilt. It sports high quality materials and is extremely comfortable in temperate conditions. Breaching the lower 40's, I struggled to keep drafts out, mainly because of the design of the quilt opening and inability to close it sufficiently. Katabatic Gear Palisade

Fantastic! I used an unzipped regular Marmot Spire down bag for years, and by necessity, it was a bit overkill on warmth. The hood was often in my face, even though I bought it to match the side I tend to sleep on.  This quilt is a way better concept. No hood in the face, down on top, instead of compressed below (or in my case, wasted in unnecessary width, when spread out). I've been using the quilt for three years, many nights per year. Therm-a-Rest Apogee Quilt

A great introductory quilt available (as of spring 2019) at a great introductory price. Neither the lightest nor most compact choice on the market, but this synthetic quilt is still a great addition to any budget backpacker's gear closet. Enlightened Equipment Accomplice

This quilt is warm and light. Excellent for backpacking or kayak camping. Packs to a small space. PS:my orange kitten thinks it neato! We were both warm enough for comfortable sleep during September in northern Minnesota. The fit of the quilt is perfect for two. No problem with moisture issues. Excellent packability; very compressible. Bag was easy to use and held up well.  Full review

Katabatic Gear Alsek

The Katabatic Gear Alsek is the most comfortable and functional quilt that I have used. It is well-designed, durable, and conservative in its temperature rating, such that it really stands out amongst the competition. Enlightened Equipment Accomplice

An ultralight and ultracomfy sleeping solution for two, with top-quality treated down fill, silk-like shell fabric and thoughtful details. Save weight, sleep with a friend! For years we have used an opened-up TNF rectangular bag, now probably 25 years-old, as a summer sleeping quilt for the two of us. In winter, we zip it together with its twin for more airtight warmth down into the teens if not single digits.
